Stanton

Stanton, the county seat of Martin County, is on Interstate Highway 20 100 miles south of Lubbock in the southeastern part of the county.

Old Sorehead Trade Days

Old Sorehead Trade Days is the best little show in West Texas (if you can call 615 booths and 30,000 visitors little). Stanton hosts Trade Days twice a year, four days of wonderful shopping. Shows are scheduled the second weekend in April and October. Shows are Saturdays 9 AM to 6 PM and Sundays Noon to 5 PM.

Old Sorehead Trade Days gathers vendors from all over Texas and the southwest. If you can imagine it, you can find it at Old Sorehead Trade Days. Woodcrafts, wearable art, hand-poured candles, metal art -- the list goes on and on!

If you're looking for a touch of country, this is it! Sample the riches in the food courts (roasted corn, fajitas, funnel cakes and much more). Antiques of all varieties are bountiful. Come find jewelry, collectibles, clothing and more!

Don't miss out on the chance to shop with our local merchants also. Step in, say hello, browse around and meet some of the "friendly people." Stanton has antique stores, gift shops, a clothing boutique, restaurants and many other businesses ready to serve you.
